About Karen

Hi! I’m Karen, a cheerful and creative Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant who loves helping children find their voices. I work with kids from preschool through age 13, using play, connection, and evidence-based strategies to make communication feel fun and empowering.

I graduated from Medicine Hat College during COVID, and I’m especially passionate about AAC. I’m proficient with TouchChat and LAMP systems. I tailor communication supports to meet each child’s individual needs and focus on promoting independence, participation, and functional communication.

Outside the clinic, you can usually find me camping, planning my next vacation with my husband and two teens, or curled up at home with my three cats and two dogs. There’s always at least one furry friend trying to steal the spotlight.

I bring warmth, curiosity, and a playful spirit to every session, creating a space where kids feel safe, supported, and excited to grow their communication skills
